On Wednesday, November 30, an explosion rang out at the Embassy of Ukraine in Madrid. Because of this, one of the employees of the diplomatic office was injured.

According to sources, the explosives were in an envelope that was received by the injured employee. The man received minor injuries and was hospitalized.

The Spanish police activated the anti-terrorist protocol and surrounded the territory where the embassy of Ukraine is located. Special forces and explosive devices are working on the spot. The circumstances of the event are being established.

Europa Press informs, that the explosion was reported at 1:15 p.m. The Spanish edition of ultimahora.es addedthat the letter was addressed to the ambassador of Ukraine, but it was not passed through the scanner, but was opened by guards in the garden of the embassy.

Currently, the Ukrainian embassy does not officially comment on this incident.
