The British actor took part in a charity event in support of Ukraine.
British actor, known to many for his role as Loki in the Marvel Cinematic Universe Tom Hiddleston supported Ukraine.
The star of the film “Thor” took part in the charity event “Poetry for Every Day of the Year” last Friday, March 17. The evening took place at the Royal National Theater of Great Britain in London.
From the stage, Hiddleston read a poem by the Ukrainian poet and musician Serhii Zhadan “Three years we talk about war”, which was included in the poet’s collection “Antenna” in 2018. In order for the audience to understand it, the poem was translated into English.
Funds collected during the charity event will be transferred to the humanitarian needs of Ukraine. Actors Aisa Butterfield, Sope Dirisu, Kate Fleetwood and Daria Plakhtiy also performed from the stage last evening.
We will remind, the other day the legendary French actress Katrin Denov insightfully read a poem by a Ukrainian poetess Lesya Ukrainka “Nadia”. Zirka has been supporting Ukraine since the beginning of the full-scale invasion.
