The 54th Armed Forces Brigade landed a rare Russian UAV

Hunting on Russian drones continues. Fighters of the 54th separate mechanized brigade named after Hetman Ivan Mazepa registered a rather rare copy – “Orlan-30”.

Relevant information made public in a telegram from the Center for Strategic Communications, the Strategic Committee of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

This device is a modified version of the main reconnaissance UAV of the Russian invaders “Orlan-10” and, first of all, it is distinguished by a higher operating height, which makes it possible to carry more payload – up to 8 kg.

Also, this UAV can be used as a laser targeting range finder. That is, it can illuminate the target with a beam to ensure accurate targeting for guided munitions. The maximum flight speed of “Orlan-30” reaches about 170 km/h.

We will remind you that the day before, the first complex of drones purchased within the framework of the “Army of Drones” program was delivered to Ukraine. 30 “birds” have already gone to the front to reinforce the Armed Forces.

Formerly UNIAN published a photo report, how the fighters of the “Drone Army” are trained in Ukraine. Later, these guys should be the “eyes” of the military on the battlefield, accurately directing the fire of the Armed Forces of Ukraine on enemy targets.
