
Ukraine wants to order 11 additional Zuzana 2 howitzers from Slovakia, the corresponding agreement is expected to be signed.
This was announced by the Minister of Defense of Slovakia, Yaroslav Nagy, informs Censor. NO with reference to Interfax-Ukraine.
“I can say that an agreement was signed for 8 self-propelled artillery units, they are already in Ukraine. There is also an agreement between Slovakia, Germany, Denmark and Norway for the supply of 16 more Zuzana 2 self-propelled artillery units during the year, which will be paid for by these countries,” Nagy said.
The minister emphasized that Slovakia is working on this and will continue supplying self-propelled guns to Ukraine this year.
“Recently, I received information that there is a request from the Ukrainian side for 11 more of these howitzers, we are waiting for the signing of the agreement. We are working closely with representatives of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine, they visited us last week. I hope that we will be able to reach an agreement,” he noted head of the Ministry of Defense of Slovakia.
